On the 3rd of October, 2017 the teachers of the department of “Foreign Language and Professional Foreign Language” Kairakbaeva G.S, Kydyrmoldina E.T., Ryspanova A.A. held an optional lesson dedicated to the Day of Almaty.
The aim of this meeting was to acquaint students with the history of the holiday. Almaty is one of the most beautiful and spacious cities of Kazakhstan. It is a former capital of the country and one of the nicest cities in whole Central Asia. It’s situated at the foot of the emerald Tien-Shan ridges and many people call it “a garden city”. Almaty is a sunny and green city with wide streets, numerous parks, gardens, fountains, and beautiful architecture. The city is full of interesting places and millions of tourists visit it every year. This event had cognitive and educational significance. The students of “Pharmacy” Faculty on specialty “TFG” and “General Medicine” took part in this meeting.
The optional lesson aroused a great interest among students and they noted the high organizational level and emphasized the need for such events to develop the creative potential and language competence of students.
Such meetings develop the corporate spirit among students and teachers, educate patriotism, preserving the traditions and values of the university.
