At the department of “Normal physiology with a course in biophysics” in the 2020-2021 academic year, according to the plan, a round table was held at the university level under the heading of outstanding scientists: “1150 years of the scientist, philosopher” Abu Nasir al-Farabi “.

The round table was held online, on a zoom platform. Organizers of the round table: Heads of the Department “Normal Physiology with a Course in Biophysics” Ryspekova Sh.O., Associate Professor Dzhusipbekova BA, Shaikhinbekova RM, Aitzhanova GM. and 2nd year students of the school “General Medicine-1”. Round table guests: S.Zh. Vice-rector for strategic and corporate development of the Kazakh National Medical University named after Asfendiyarov Datkhaev Ubaidulla Makhambetovich, deputy dean of the 1st year of the general medical school Zhakupova Kyrmyzy Baymukhambetovna, Ansaganova Zhansaya Ansaganovna and 2nd year students of the Faculty of General Medicine. The round table was held in three languages. Moderators: Kobei Ayaulym, Zakenov Aibek, Zhanatbek Akerke. During the round table, a report was made on the topic “Abu Nasir al-Farabi, a review of history” and a video film on the topic “Soundtrack to the film by Abu Nasir al-Farabi”. “How well do you know Abu Nasir al-Farabi?” – The winner was the student who provided a lot of information on the topic on the Kout platform, in the question-answer game. Here, students got acquainted with the biography, works and compositions of Abu Nasir al-Farabi, received a lot of information about the scientist and enriched their knowledge. Students recited poems dedicated to Abu Nasir al-Farabi. The round table ended with the “Turkmen” kyuy of Dauletkerey performed by Muhammadiyarova Aruzhan. The guest of honor of the round table was the vice-rector for strategic and corporate development, Datkhaev Ubaidulla Makhambetovich, who thanked the students, saying that the future of our country requires young people to know the history of their country, scientists and similar evenings. In turn, the head teacher of the department Dzhusipbekova Balzhan Abdrambekovna thanked the students for the work done and said that thanks to such events, young people should not forget their history. The teacher of the department Shaikhinbekova Raigul Mukhambetovna thanked the students and noted that the evening went very well. At the round table, the students showed how well they know our historical figure Abu Nasir al-Farabi and delighted the teachers and staff.

Purpose of the evening: One of the most famous scientists of the medieval Muslim world – Abu Nasir al-Farabi – a famous mathematician, musician, philosopher and encyclopedist. He was born in Otrar in the family of a soldier, by origin Kipchak. He was a far-sighted man who was ahead of his time in terms of his scientific outlook and worldview.

The teacher introduced many innovations in the field of world science and culture. He studied logic and medicine, space and human structure, philosophy, mathematics and law. In his research, he proved that man knows the world and its essence through feelings and reason.

With these activities, we ended our evening by saying that it is always better to improve the spiritual well-being of children by reminding them of our historical figures and telling students about their history.
