of Associate Professor of the General Immunology Department Nurmukhanbetova Aliya Adilsarievna on the work carried out within the framework of academic mobility 

Associate Professor of the General Immunology Department Nurmukhanbetova Aliya Adilsarievna, from March 25 to March 30, 2024, as part of the “Academic Mobility” program, carried out the following work:

1. lectures (from March 25 to March 27, 2024) in the discipline of general immunology in academic groups of 2nd year students of the Samarkand State Medical Institute in the specialties “General Medicine”, “Dentistry” and “Medical Prevention”, totaling 12 academic hours;
2. practical classes (from March 25 to March 29, 2024) in the discipline of general immunology in academic groups of 2nd year students of the Samarkand State Medical Institute in the specialties “General Medicine”, “Dentistry” and “Medical Prevention”, with a total volume of 16 academic hours;
3. analysis and discussion of the syllabuses content on the discipline for 2nd year students of the medical and dental faculties;
4. review of control and measuring teaching aids (test tasks of current and final control) for 2nd year students of the Medicine Faculty;
5. round table with employees of the Microbiology, Virology and Immunology Department on the topic: “Basic laboratory methods in immunology”;
6. discussion of organizational issues with co-chairman Kh.Sh. Shaykulov. and member of the organizing committee Zhamalova F.A. for the upcoming joint international student Olympiad;
7. discussion of the main issues and test tasks with a member of the organizing committee, Zhamalova F.A. for the joint international student Olympiad.

Conducting an open practical lesson for 2nd year students of the Medicine Faculty (8th stream, 236-237). Discussion of organizational issues with co-chairman Kh.Sh. Shaykulov and member of the organizing committee Zhamalova F.A. for the upcoming joint international student Olympiad.

Conducting an open lecture for 2nd year students of the Dentistry Faculty (5th stream, 220-224) and employees of the Microbiology, Virology and Immunology Department.

Based on the results of the visit to the Samarkand State Medical Institute, preliminary agreements were received for further cooperation on joint holding of student Olympiads, continuation of visits within the framework of academic mobility of teaching staff, students and master’s/doctoral students; conducting joint student research with publication of results.

 

1. In order to enhance academic mobility in the educational process in April 2013, the department was organized and conducted by professors visit from the Anderson Cancer Center (Texas, Houston), Shaiken Tattym. The program “The visit of the professors” held a seminar on “aspects of Immunogenetic malignancies” for students, graduate students, residents, researchers and specialized KazNMU Research Institute, Almaty.
2. In the period from 18.11.13 on 12.01.13, the department organized the visit of professor from the University of Washington, Hu Shi Lok. During the visit, organized by the International Training Seminar “Clinical, therapeutic, diagnostic, epidemiological and preventive aspects of HIV infection” for students, graduate students, residents, researchers and specialized KazNMU Research Institute, Almaty.
3. According to the Agreement on Cooperation between KazNMU and the People’s Friendship University Moscow from 15.10.2015, the Department of Immunology organized the seminar webinar for faculty, researchers and practitioners KazNMU and other interested organizations on the theme of “dysbiosis. From denial to a rational adjustment “on October 10-11, 2016.

Seminar was held by Tataurschikova Natalia – Doctor of Medical Sciences, professor of the Department of Allergy and Immunology of the Russian Peoples’ Friendship University, a doctor allergist-immunologist. Webinar on 1.5 hours (2 academic hours)  was carried out together with Garib  F. – Doctor of Medical Sciences, professor of the Department of clinical immunology and Allergy from Moscow State University named after Lomonosov in the framework of the seminar.

At the end of the workshop were given certificates from the Russian Peoples’ Friendship University for 16 academic hours, and students received CDs containing the workshop.

Report about the visit of the Doctor of Medical Sciences, Head of the Laboratory of Autoimmune Conditions of the Immunology and Human Genomics Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Uzbekistan Republic Nabiyeva Umida Pulajanovna to KazNMU at the Department of General Immunology under the program "Visiting Professor"

The staff of the Department of General Immunology carried out a lot of preparatory work for this visit. Nabieva Umida Pulatjanovna conducted full-time lectures and seminars at the Department of General Immunology on topical issues of immunology, the audience was teachers of the Department of General Immunology, rheumatologists, doctoral students and undergraduates of the departments of immunology and rheumatology. A master class was held on the topic “The structure and tasks of a research laboratory for basic research”, and a seminar was held for resident rheumatologists “The course of COVID-19 in rheumatic diseases”. During the visit, visiting professor, MD. Nabieva U.P. along with other activities – lectures, seminars, master classes for students, development of a scientific and technical project, advisory assistance in organizing the Life Sciences laboratory from 09/27/2021 to 10/09/2021. She held an online training seminar on the topic "Immunodiagnostics, Immunoprophylaxis and Methods of Immunotherapy for Autoimmune Diseases". The seminar was organized by the Department of General Immunology
together with the Clinical Department and the Department of Postgraduate Education of KazNMU. The contingent of listeners – 30 people – immunologists, rheumatologists, allergists, dermatologists, endocrinologists, hematologists, general practitioners, therapists, pediatricians. A seminar on the possibilities and applications of modern cytometry from Zalma took place on December 19, 2022 at KazNMU named Asfendiyarov. The main speaker was the scientific consultant of Zalma, Anton Vitovtov. The first part of the seminar was devoted to the basics of flow cytometry – the Attune NxT device from Thermo Fisher Scientific, which was purchased for the Life Sciences SHOM-1 laboratory. Anton Vitovtov spoke in detail about the basic principles of cell labeling and the principle of cell-by-cell analysis. The second part was dedicated to the applications of flow cytometry, from immune cell phenotyping to cell testing of new drugs. This workshop gave an introduction to the flow cytometry method, its application in biomedical research and the basics of cytometric data analysis.

The staff of the Department of General Immunology carried out a lot of preparatory work for this visit: a training program was drawn up, a program for the professor’s visit, a wide notification of potential listeners and participants in the visit was carried out.

Gelovani from 01.12.2022 to 07.12.2022 she conducted full-time lectures and seminars at the Department of General Immunology on topical issues of immunology, the audience was teachers of the Department of General Immunology, residents-oncologists of KazNMU, KazIOR and KRMU, PhD students, undergraduates and students of the Department of Immunology. Also these days:
05.12.2022 a master class was held on the topic «Radiotherapy Combined with Immunotherapy of Cancer» «Molecular-Genetic Imaging of Immunotherapies of Cancer». He also gave a lecture by KazIOR for doctors and resident oncologists.
06.12.2022 visited the genomic laboratory of the Central Collective Use Center and the Life Sciences laboratory, which is located at the Atchabarov Research Institute of Fundamental and Applied Medicine.
During the visit, visiting professor J. Gelovani along with other activities – lectures, seminars, master classes for students, conducted consultations on existing and planned scientific projects.
08.12.2022-20.12.2022 conducted online lectures on topics: «Oncogenic viruses, cancer biology, and innate immunity; Practical Aspects of Using Engineered CAR-T cells for immunotherapy of cancer; Recent Progress on Therapeutic Vaccines for Breast Cancer; Vaccines for immunoprevention of DNA mismatch repair deficient cancers; Cancer immunotherapy using peptide T cell vaccines; Emerging immunotherapies of glioblastoma: current state and future directions». The Audience – 14 people – teachers, undergraduates, PhD students of the Department of General Immunology.
In conclusion, it should be noted that the program of the visit of Professor J. Gelovani was fully implemented and was very fruitful both for the Department of General Immunology – the initiator of the visit – and for the entire University as a whole.
