According to the order № 269 from 17.07.2006  in connection with the restructuring of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology № 1 was organized. The main scientific direction of the department – improvement of scientific basics of woman’s reproductive health protection. Periconceptional prophylaxis and perinatal medicine. Scientific work in the department is combined with educational and practical activity. Staff of the department  are making investigations, which have big scientific and practical importance, and promoting the decision of actual problems in obstetrics and gynecology.

Omarova GK – member of Kazakh and American society of laparoendoscopic surgeons, European society of gynecologists, European society of abnormal uterine violations, European Expert Union by endometriosis(SEUD), obstetric-gynecology association of Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakh Association of Reproductive medicine, Kazakh Association by sexual and reproductive health. Omarova G.K – author of more than 140 scientific works, published in Kazakhstan, CIS and abroad, including rationalizational proposals and patents for inventions, poster reports and presentations in international conferences (Singapore, Prague, Barcelona and etc).
