Research work of students

Research work of students is an obligatory component of the training of highly qualified specialists who are able to apply the achievements of modern medical science in their work.

Students actively engaged in scientific research, including taking part in the grant work of the department. Thus, the students participated in the implementation of the grant theme of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Students – the risk group for tuberculosis”, in the implementation of the intra-university grants “Development of measures to prevent tuberculosis among students” and “Identification of molecular genetic prognostic criteria for predisposition to tuberculosis.”

Students actively participate in the annual scientific and student conference dedicated to World TB Day, where they present independent high-level presentations with presentations in Kazakh, English and Russian. Publish articles on the problem of tuberculosis in scientific publications.

At the department there is a permanent scientific student group, under the guidance of Professor A. Rakisheva. Students – circle students carry out research on the actual problems of phthisiology – the application of new methods in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of tuberculosis.

Student work “Application of nanotechnology in the treatment of tuberculosis” was awarded the Gold Medal of the First President Foundation.

In 2014, students of N. Kulamkadirova and R. Bakubaev took the first place at the
International scientific-practical conference of students and young scientists
“Integration of student science into the international space dedicated to the 125th anniversary
S.D.Asfendiyarov.

In 2015, students Aitzhanova A., Tanabaeva A., Kadirov K., became winners of the intra-university competition of SRWS and received a Diploma of 1 degree..

In 2016, a fourth-year student of OM Maidan A., received a Diploma for the best report at the NIRS competition in KazNMU.

In 2017, the students of the 5th OM, Saparova T. and Zhunisova M., became the winners of the internal research competition of the SRWS and received the 1st Degree Diploma (headed by Professor Rakisheva AS).
