Information about the SRWS of the Department of General Immunology.
There is a student scientific circle “Immunology” at the Department of General Immunology. The head of the circle is professor A.S. Tarabayeva.
Students of the specialty “General Medicine” actively participate in the SRWS of the department. The results of student work are reported at the International Student Scientific and Practical Conferences:
- Kadyrbekova Dilyara, 4th year GM, made a presentation on the topic: “Immunogenetics of rheumatoid arthritis” at the International Student Congress of Medical Sciences, 2016, Netherlands.
- Murtazaliyeva Alexandra, 7th year intern in the specialty “Surgery” made a presentation on “Immunogenetics of rheumatoid arthritis” and took third place at the conference “Heaths and social science”, 2016, Riga, Latvia.
- Akhmedova Umida, 3 course GM took 2nd place in the competition for the best scientific work on the topic: “Legal and social problems of a healthy lifestyle among young people in the Republic of Kazakhstan”, timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of State independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakh State University named after Al-Farabi, 11.01.2017.
- Akhmedova Umida, 3 course GM participated with a report at 71 scientific conference of medical students with international participation “Actual problems of modern medicine”, Samarkand, May 18-19, 2017.

The International Olympiad dedicated to the Day of Science was held online at KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov on April 27, 2022. The organizers of this Olympiad were the School of General Medicine-1 KazNMU named after. S.D. Asfendiyarov, in particular, in the section “Immunology” – the Department of General Immunology of KazNMU named after. S.D. Asfendiyarov and the Department of Clinical Immunology and Allergology, Saratov State Medical University named after V.I. Razumovsky.

XI All-Russian Science Week with international participation, dedicated to the World Immunization Week, was held on April 26-29, 2022 in Saratov (RF). In this conference, a 4th year student GM Abdikamal Azamat made a presentation on the topic “Biomarkers in early immunodiagnosis of bladder and prostate cancer” and was awarded a 3rd degree Diploma.Supervisor: Associate Professor of the Department of General Immunology Nurmukhanbetova A.A.
The 76th International Scientific and Practical Conference of Medical Students and Young Scientists “Achievements in Fundamental, Applied Medicine and Pharmacy” was held on May 20-21, 2022 in Samarkand (Republic of Uzbekistan). At this conference, a 4th year student GM Abdikamal Azamat made an oral presentation on the topic “Treatment tactics for a patient with urolithiasis and bladder tumor” and was awarded a 1st degree Diploma.

The Department of General Immunology held the City Student Olympiad in Immunology among 3rd year students of the Stomatology Faculty of KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov and the Kazakh-Russian Medical University on October 26,2022. The total number of participants was 25, among them students from the Kazakh branch – 15, the Russian – 6, the English – 4. The Olympiad was held in 1 stage. Students were tested for knowledge of immunology in the test center of KazNMU named after SD Asfendiyarov. 3rd year students of the Faculty of General Medicine and the International Faculty participated online in the I Republican Olympiad in Immunology, organized by the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy on November 8, 2022. The Olympiad was held in 2 stages. Stage 1 included testing on the Google Forms platform, stage 2 – solving situational problems in writing. Participants were asked to answer 50 test items in the first round. The testing time was 50 minutes. 10 participants from each department were admitted to the second round according to the test results.
The following students won prizes based on the results of the 1st Republican Olympiad:

The Republican scientific and practical student conference “Student Science – Achievements and Development Prospects” was held at the West Kazakhstan Medical University named Marat Ospanov on December 7, 2022. Students of the 3rd and 5th courses of the General Medicine School -1 KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov took an active part in making oral presentations. Following the results of the conference, our students won prizes, in particular Imasheva T.B. was awarded the Diploma “Grand Prix” for the report “Clinical and laboratory characteristics of COVID-19 in hospitalized patients with cardiovascular diseases”, scientific supervisor Associate Professor of the General Immunology Department of Bizhigitova B.B., Akhtamyanova E.A. – Diploma of the 2nd degree for the report “Socio-demographic and clinical features of patients with relapse of tuberculosis”, scientific supervisor assistant of the General Immunology Department Okhas I.M., as well as 5th year student Abdikamal A.M. was awarded the Diploma of the ІІІ degree for the report “Specific biomarkers in the diagnosis of bladder cancer”, scientific supervisor Associate Professor of the General Immunology Department Nurmukhanbetova A.A.

The international scientific and practical conference for young scientists “Infectious diseases: interdisciplinary problems in the post-COVID period” was held on February 17, 2023 in Astana. In this conference, a 3rd year student of the GM made an oral presentation on the topic: “Chronic fatigue in the long term after a covid infection” and was awarded a 2nd degree diploma. Scientific adviser: lecturer of the General Immunology Department Okhas I.M.
The annual International Subject Student Olympiad was held on April 21 in 2023 by the departments of the General Medicine School – 1. The section “Immunology” was attended by 94 students from KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov (Kazakhstan), Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Kazakhstan), Astana Medical University (Kazakhstan), Semey Medical University (Kazakhstan), Razumovsky Saratov State Medical University (Russia), South Kazakhstan Medical Academy (Kazakhstan), Orenburg State Medical University ( Russia), Volgograd State Medical University (Russia), Dagestan State Medical University (Russia), Bukhara State Medical Institute (Uzbekistan).
The organizers of the section “Immunology”: the Department of General Immunology of KazNMU, the Department of Clinical Immunology and Allergology of the Saratov State Medical University.
The format of this section was online on the Cisco Webex platform.
The language of the event was Kazakh, Russian, English.
The Olympiad consisted of 2 stages:
Stage I – testing / 50 tests. The tests were carried out in the system dis.kaznmu.edu.kz.
Stage II – the solution of a situational task in writing on the diskaznmu.kz platform with the provision of a login and password to all participants.
The competitive commission consisting of the chairman – head of the department of general immunology of KazNMU Bitanova E.Zh., members – head of the department of clinical immunology and allergology of the Saratov State Medical University Astafieva N.G., professor of the department of general immunology of KazNMU Tarabayeva A.S. assessed the ability of students to apply the acquired knowledge , clinical approach and critical thinking in solving situational tasks.
